Pastor Drew joined LCGS in July 2024. Originally from Southern Ohio and raised in the Baptist Church, Pr. Drew joined the Lutheran Tradition in College around 2010. During his college years at Capital University (an ELCA College in Columbus, OH) he was active in campus ministry, residence life, outdoor ministries, and a variety of other activities. It during this time, he felt a sense of call to ministry and thanks to an additional nudge from his campus pastor, he served at First English Lutheran-Columbus OH as a pre-seminary/Youth Coordinator for a year before entering into seminary. It was also at Capital where he met his wife (Pr. Amanda McCaffery) and have been married since May 2012. You may occasionally see Pr. Amanda as she also serves another church within the Synod. They also enjoy spending time with their 2 year old dog, Bryce.
Pr. Drew graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg (now United Lutheran Seminary) in 2015 and served his first call at Bethany Lutheran Church in Altoona, PA. During his first call, he also served alongside Simpson Temple United Parish and St. James Lutheran Church, both located in Altoona. Pr. Drew has a heart for building a community where everyone is welcomed and creating a space to share one another’s stories. In Pastor’s spare time, you can find him playing board games, catching up on the hippest food trends, or just learning some new, interesting, and random facts (his words). After his military tour of duty in the Air Force, later moved to Perry Hall and became a member of St. Michaels Lutheran Church. When Ann and Sherman moved to Harford County, they became members at Trinity Lutheran church, Joppa until 2015 when they transferred to LCGS. Sherman had already been active as a Stephen Minister and also served in the areas of Stewardship, Eucharistic Ministry and Worship assistant when he decided to answer the call and take the next step and become a Deacon. He was set apart as Deacon in the Order of St. Stephen in the summer of 2018. In that role he heads up the Caring Ministry which focuses on helping new members get plugged in to ministries where they feel called to serve, and reaching out to members whom we haven’t seen in a while.
Outside LCGS, Sherman is the General Manager of Belair Road Supply, and has been with them since the 1990s. Sherman enjoys volunteering for Hospice, reading, and playing Jazz percussion. Contact Deacon Sherman at: [email protected] |

Gina joined the office staff after having been a member at LCGS for over 18 years. In her previous life (read, before kids) she worked as the Personnel Director for a civil engineering firm in Baltimore supporting over 300 employees. She enjoyed the time being a full time mom and volunteer but, feels very blessed and happy to be putting her gifts to work with the congregation she loves.
If not working in church ministry, Gina may be found running a little coffee and breakfast joint or planning parties and events. Contact Gina at: [email protected]. |
Dawn grew up here in Harford County and before coming to LCGS, she worked for 24 years at the Salvation Army. While there, she managed the office, supported clients, and oversaw the financial reporting.
Dawn enjoys working in church ministry but if she wasn't, she's not sure what she would be doing but hopes it would involve a good bit of time on a beach somewhere! Contact Dawn at: [email protected]. |
