Our Beliefs: 

• The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd confesses the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We trust the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.
• This congregation accepts the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the authoritative source of its proclamation, faith, and life.
• We identify the Apostles’, Nicene and Athanasian Creeds; and the Lutheran confessional writings in the Book of Concord as the basis for our teaching.

 
Our mission values:

• Faith – Faith is a freely-given and unearned gift from God.  Faith comes first in our Mission Statement because we believe that God has acted, acts, and will continue to act out of unconditional love for each of us.  We are therefore called to react in kind with the whole of our lives.
• Discipleship – Discipleship is the intentional pursuit of spiritual growth through prayer, study, worship, giving, service, invitation, and encouragement.
• Community – Community is both the gathering of the faithful and the context in which this gathering finds itself.  We seek a balance in all we do between (1) the inward focus of building up the Body of Christ in this place and time and (2) the outward focus of caring for our neighbors in service of the Gospel.  These foci inform, encourage, and enable each other – we are strengthened as the Church when we serve others and our service of others is strengthened when we work together as the Church.
