Pastor Alejandro currently serves as the Delaware-Maryland Synod Administrator and will be at LCGS part-time. In addition to preaching and presiding at Sunday Worship services, Pastor Alejandro will be in the office (or visiting as needed) on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings. Specifically, he will lead or be involved with: weekly staff meeting; confirmation instruction; Worship and Music, Social Justice, and other Ministry Team meetings as needed, and Pastoral Care.
Pastor Alejandro is originally from Colombia South America and is a four generation Lutheran and an ELCA Ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament.

Thanks to his bilingualism, and his abilities as a good listener, an empathetic counselor, and enthusiastic community builder, Pastor Alejandro has been able to build bridges between various minorities, and between the Anglo and Latino Communities. He has been a strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, serving in different organizations in various capacities and has been invited by civil organizations as a guest speaker at different events and rallies in favor of minorities, being the only Latino clergy involved in such events.
Before moving to the United States, Pastor Alejandro was a music educator at school and college and served in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Colombia. In his spare time, Pastor Alejandro enjoys playing and walking with his four-legged child Tomas, likes to practice yoga, go to the gym, traveling, reading, or just to watch an interesting show on Netflix.
