| Mom2Mom
(mothers
with preschool children)
Mom2Mom is a Christian support network for mothers of children under the age of
six. Childcare will be provided for children ages one through six years. Please
bring a sippy cup for your child and a $5 donation per family. The group meets
first Friday of the month for fun, fellowship, support and sharing during the
school year. Children play with supervision while the moms meet for adult conversation.
Moms and children enjoy fun outings and activities together throughout the year.
If you are interested in Mom2Mom or have questions about the group,
please contact Heather Raedeke or Bekky Levesque. |
ALL women of LCGS
are welcome to all of the programs.
Our Good Shepherd Women of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)
group offers mutual support, Bible study, service and fellowship for the women
of our congregation. The group is part of a wider network of nearly 500,000 participants
in 64 geographical areas called synods in the United States and the Caribbean.
| DayTimers
(semi-retired
& retired adults)
Daytimers
are members of LCGS, their neighbors, family, and friends who meet monthly for
fellowship and companionship. The program agenda for each meeting consists of
a devotional, opening prayer, potluck salad/soup luncheon, an informative or inspirational
speaker or presentation, and a brief update of current LCGS worship services,
Christian Caring concerns among the congregation, mission group updates and announcements,
church activities and events, and planning details for forthcoming daytrips.
Special initiatives: Bible Study, role playing/guided imagery, cookie exchange,
Re-Threading Memories (a written legacy of memories and experiences).
Daytimers represent at least three different generations: The Millenial Generation
- born 1901-1924; the Silent Generation - born 1925-1942; the Boom Generation
- born 1943-1960.
